“Golden Hour Rendezvous” – 11x14 Print with Custom Built Barnwood Frame
This goat picture was taken by photographer and RMGA member, Danny Coyne, in the historical Similkameen Valley near Princeton British Columbia. This small herd of less than 25 goats reside within the steep cliffs and rolling grasslands along the Similkameen River. The photo was captured during the rut on November 19, 2020. The image portrays a mature Nanny, with her kid and the herd’s dominant Billy all together as a family at sunset. A true symbol of how conservation efforts can protect and support the future of such a sensitive herd of Mountain Goats.
The print is an 11x14, printed with a Pearl finish. Like a matte finish but with a slight satin feel with a smooth surface that displays well in any light. The picture will be delivered with a custom-built frame made of historical barnwood from an old homestead in the Similkameen Valley, which is the same mountain drainage these goats reside in. The frame is being constructed by a local artist, Jody Woodford from the Princeton area. The finish product will display the photo with a matted border and conservation glass to protect the image from UV light for many years.
This piece of wall art would be a perfect addition to warm up any room, while adding a part of British Columbia’s history and Mountain Goat conservation efforts into your home!
